TRANSPORTATION Airport and transport to venue The Bucharest Henri Coandã International Airport (also known as Otopeni Airport) is located 17 km north of city center.
We strongly recommend the use of Uber or Bolt, ~10-15 Euro daytime fare, app. 30-40 min. (25-30 min without traffic). The regular Taxi to city center: 15 Euro (daytime fare).
Train to Bucharest North Railway Station runs every 40 min., and takes 30 mins, 1 Euro daytime fare (can be paid by credit card within the train). From Bucharest North Railway Station, there is 2.5 km (35 min walking distance) to the venue, Subway is available, runs every ~10 min (additional 20 min to the venue).
Bus to city center: the 100 Express line runs every 15 mins (daytime), less than 1 Euro (can be paid by credit card within the bus). The journey to Piata Unirii 2 (Union Square) Station takes between 40 to 60 minutes. From here, there is 1,5 km (20-25 min walking distance) to the venue. Subway is available, runs every ~10 min (1 subway station to the venue).
Of Note: the most reliable and easy transportation system within Bucharest is the subway. It runs every ~5-10 min and there are multiple lines.
The Romanian currency is RON (1 Euro ~ 5 RON). There are good exchange rates within the banks.
